Quick, Disney MagicBand Hack For A Perfect Fit
Throughout our years of visiting the Walt Disney World Parks, I realized that many people were unaware of a simple Disney MagicBand hack! It’s easy!
I love the Disney MagicBand! I find it so much easier to manage than the card tickets alone.
However, it can be annoying when it doesn’t fit properly ( plus, you risk losing it).
I swear I have infant size wrists and my MagicBand slips all around my wrist, if I could not adjust it.

This hack is also critical for children to ensure that snugger fit! By simply removing the gray rubber, outer wristband, your MagicBand will fit more securely and more comfortably around your wrist!
Removing the rubber takes a little work to get started, but is still fairly simple to do.
(You also may initially feel like you are breaking this MagicBand that you paid a small fortune for, but I promise you’re not.)
Flip your band over and you will see a spot where it shows how you can simply peel the colored portion of your band out of the gray area.
( Note to self, stop biting nails and get a manicure before posting pictures that show your fingers. Eek)

Someone with strong fingers could probably do it by hand, but I used a super small Flathead screwdriver from a Mini-Screwdriver Set set to get it started.
Just use the screwdriver to essentially punch a hole or pop out in the curve where the color meets the gray, and then you will be able to peel off the outer portion of the wrist band.
Voila!
You now have a Disney MagicBand that won’t fall off or slip around your wrist all day!
Side Hack: I always write our phone number on a piece of white duct tape with a sharpie marker, and place it on the inside of my kid’s MagicBand. This way, if heaven forbid, we get separated, they know to tell a cast member ( we tell them to look for someone with a Disney name badge) to call that phone number.
Fortunately, we have never had to use this, but at least we know it is there.
Check out my how-to video if you want to see how I do it and follow along!

2 things: this is exactly what the Magic Band was designed to do. It was designed to fit practically any size wrist.
Secondly, I know this is an older post, but consider hiding the ID# on the Magic Band (just below the name). If it is still active at all, and there was any credit card information stored on it, it can be compromised.
Thank you. Yes. It’s a very smartly, designed bad…but you would be shocked how many people I have come across that did not realize you could take the gray piece off to make the band smaller. I also appreciate the note about the ID number. I actually didn’t even realize it when I posted the photo, but that band isn’t active anymore anyway. I appreciate the comments!
